About the Chef



For generations Claudio’s family in Naples, Italy has been in the restaurant business.  Claudio has continued the tradition. He grew up working in his family’s restaurants in New York which led to a cooking apprenticeship in Europe. He gained additional experience as a chef at various New York City restaurants. Twenty-five years ago, Claudio fell in love with Northampton and opened Spoleto Restaurant, his first of multiple popular concepts including Pizzeria Paradiso and Mama Iguana’s. Claudio is extremely passionate about his family, business, community and, of course, food and wine!
